Once again we see the familiar name of Dessie Hughes sitting very comfortably at the top of this weeks Weekly Challange Competition…. and with 44 points to his name its not surprising! I think if handicaps were given by the regulars on the course rather than a handicap convenor we would see several shots cut away from Mr Hughes, regardless of winter conditions etc., however we do have a convenor and a computer that does most of the handicap adjustments without intervention, so you are safe for the moment Dessie? Dessies score was 3 shots better than Stephen Mullen who had the best gross score, well done the pair of you! There was only one two produced on the day and the lucky fella was Lee Kirrane…. well done Lee!
The Saturday competition was the first of two Turkey Trots, Sean McCann is the first person to provide Christmas dinner for his family, his score of 39 points just pushes James Curran into 2nd place on a countback as James also had 39 points, but you have won yourself a ham James, well done both of you and I hope they are delicious…! Alan Robinson had the best gross score! There were 2 two’s and they were by Sam Jenkins and Willie McWiliams…well done fellas!
So we have another opportunity to pick up a Turkey or a Ham this Saturday, if that doesn’t produce food for the Christmas table you will just have to buy the goods yourselves?
