Week 3 of Armagh Potato Company sponsored winter league has produced some excellent scores, but none better than Jamie Stephenson’s 49 points! I would think the handicap committee maybe alerted to such a high scoring round of golf, Jamie obviously has potential to reduce his 18 handicap if this weeks round of golf is anything to go by…. well done Jamie! The next best score was Derick Hynes round of 43 points, an excellent score off an 11 h.cap, Gerald Williamson was in 3rd place with 41 points and many more scores of 41 and 40 points following closely behind. The best gross score was Mark Placitt’s round of 2 over par, well done Mark!
The weather is on the turn and the clock has been put back, still a good turn out for the winter league despite all this and while we are talking about the winter league its worth mentioning Charlie Johnston and Armagh Potato Company for their continued support of Loughgall Golf Club. Loughgall Golf Club Quiz Night….. Friday 14th November, 8pm sharp at Hoggs Bar. Everyone is welcome, you dont need to be a member, just turn up bring your family and friends, teams of no more than 6 people to a table, entry £3 per person.
