Although the weather is in transition, those golfers playing on Saturday mornings have been relatively fortunate with the conditions, hopfully we will get another burst of mild weather taking us up to Christmas?

Another round of the winter league and some very good scoring, the best score of the week was Davy McRoberts round of 45 points, not as much as last week’s 49 points which was an exceptional score, but generally 45 points will head the leaderboard more often than not, so well done Davy!  A blast from the past, does anyone remember seeing the name of Clive Currie at the top of the leaderboard…. well he is not at the top again this week either, but he sure did give it a real good go with a score of 44 points!  It was only Mr McRoberts fine efforts that prevented young Clive Currie from a win this week, not to worry Clive there is an even better score in you just waiting to come out!  Third place was Gerald Williamson with 43 points, Gerald looks to be well in the running with the scores he has produced upto this stage of the winter league, keep it going mate…. anything could happen between now and the final week of the winter league?  The best gross score of the week was that of Mark Placitt who once again shot a round of 2 over the course, well done Mark excellent golf!  There were only five 2s recorded this week.

The juniors are still doing great, the work of Davy McRoberts and Vivian Teague is proving to be very successful, well done to all concerned!

Remember Friday 14th November, 8pm at Hoggs Bar, Loughgall……. Quiz Night….everyone welcome, bring family, friends, proceeds go to charity!

Good luck and enjoy your golf!
