Clive Currie and John Allen were the best of those who braved the elements at Loughgall Golf Club in the foursomes competition on Saturday.  The weather started off quite grim but did improve a little and I believe most who played enjoyed the conditions.  Second place went to the dynamic pairing of Agg & Treanor, they could be a force to be reckoned with…. a great result considering they have never partnered each other before.

This Saturday the Team Challenge Competition gets underway after the false start of two weeks ago when the only winner was the weather. Team captains will be intouch with those golfers involved in the competition.  I would just like to point out that every Sunday a Club Stableford event will be running throughout the period of time that the Team Challenge Competition is taking place and the entry fee is just £3….?

While the weather is causing havoc across the country work continues around LGC, the tidying up along the sides of the fairways is a grand job and the ground staff deserve credit for their hard work, the benefits will be seen in the coming season….its looking good!

A wee reminder about Loughgall Golf Club AGM, its on the 25th of February at 7.45pm…. in Hoggs Bar, Loughgall.  Please make the effort to attend, its your club and you can vote on the new people you want on the club council…. you are all very welcome, hope to see you there!

Good luck and enjoy your golf!
