The first week of the winter league has been played and here are the results below, remember its the best 4 cards recorded that week for each team that count.
1st) The Hunniford Stingers with 160 points, Andrew Mathews gets an additional bonus point for his team for best score of the week.
2nd) The Agg Heads with 157 points, Aaron Agg had the best gross score of the week and gains an extra point for his team.
3rd) Golding Oldies with 156 points.
4th) Robinsons Castaways with 151 points.
5th) Balls Bashers with 143 points.
6th) The Raynermen with 136 points.
The above are actual points scored totalling the 4 score cards of each team, using a grand prix type points system(see rules) the positional points are as follows…. 1st=11pts… 2nd=9pts… 3rd=6pts… 4th=5pts… 5th=4pts… 6th=3pts.,
We have been blessed with very mild conditions for the time of year but logic tells us it cant last much longer, or will it? Global warming is working in mysterious ways, who knows what is instore for us weather wise? Well done the players and teams that have done well this week, but the 2nd of the 8 weeks has already started and no doubt there are players out there looking to improve on their 1st weeks effort. So watch this space….
