Loughgall has had an excellent season, the weather certainly helped and the good conditions are continuing into our winter league competition. A great turnout for the first week and some tremendous scores too! Once again two golfers turn in high scoring cards both with 45 points, Alan Mills can consider himself very unlucky to come second after his excellent round of golf but Steve Wall also scored well and enough to take first place on a countback. Great golf fellas and well done Steve Wall for the win! The best gross went to Stephen Mullen with a 4 over par 76….well done Stephen! There were 8 twos recorded, these will be paid out at the end of the winter league. Remember this year its based on individual performances and includes an Eclectic competition running the length of the Armagh Potato Company winter league.
NOTE* A slight amendment to last weeks report, the winning team is still that of Barry Rayner, Mark Gomba, Steve Wall and Jonathan Hewitt but 2nd and 3rd places switch positions, many thanks Willie McWilliams for picking up on the unintentional error. The team of Willie McWilliams, Alan Mills (thats 2nd two weeks running Alan!) and the backbone of their team Eugene Scullion have now been given their correct position as runners-up, Derick Hynes, Jason Wilson, Jonny McKnight and Lee Kirrane take 3rd place.
