Keegans Bar Competition results declared void
Due to the length of the “fairway” on Saturday in was hard to distinguish between the rough and fairway in places
therefore, it has been decided to declare the competition void as some players were playing “lift clean and drop through the green” and others were playing “lift clean and drop on the fairway”
the only time that a player can claim relief from an embedded ball in the rough is when the sign is in place at the first tee stating “embedded ball through the green” or “lift clean and place through the green”
relief can be claimed at all times if the ball is embedded in any closely-mown area, it may be lifted, cleaned and dropped, without penalty, as near as possible to the spot where it lay but not nearer the hole.
ANYONE WHO PLAYED IN THIS COMPETITION WILL HAVE FREE ENTRY TO THEIR NEXT SATURDAY COMPETITION
