The Presidents Cup is one of the top competitions in LGC golfing year, its high on every competitive golfers wish list to win. There can only be one winner and that was Willie Turner, Willie had an excellent 41 points which just beat Harvey Park into 2nd place on a countback. Very unlucky Harvey but in your form its just a matter of time before you head the leader board! Willie Turner has had some week…. winner of the Presidents Cup and a lovely baby boy…. use that voucher towards baby Bobby’s 1st set of clubs…lol. Roy Holmes was only a point behind in 3rd place and once again Jonathan Hewitt takes the gross prize with a round of 77! Section winners were Stephen Wilson 0-12, Willie McWilliams 13-18, Nelson Weir 19+, front nine Kris Hunniford and back nine goes to Davy McCory, the best senior score was that of Ronald Willis. Well done all the prize winners!
The Sunday Sweep was won by Nelson Weir with a very good 36 points… well done Nelson!
The Nutmeg Treasures Wednesday Sweep is quite well supported, this weeks winner with 20 points was Darren Wilson! In second place was one of our past captains and a past overall winner of the Wednesday Sweep… James O’Hagan scoring 18 points, very good fellas great scoring!
The Weekly Challenge has been a great success since it began earlier this year, this weeks winner is our very own course record holder Keith Johnston, his round this week got him 43 points, three points more than second place Jonathan Lockhart with a very good 40 points! Just imagine what score Keith would be capable of producing if he played more regularly. Great scores by both Keith and Jonathan!
