Lady Captains Golf Fun Night
Lady Captain Pauline Mc Ardle got the new season underway on Friday night despite storm Eunice! Everyone was welcomed to a fun night on the golf simulator under the instruction of our Professional Vivian Teague. The state-of-the-art golf simulator was a new experience for most of the ladies and proved very popular. Despite the high winds, rain and snow outside we were able to practice our technique and were amazed to see how the technology replicated our performance on the large screen. The simulator experience is perfect for beginners or for those wishing to brush up on existing technique. Vivian was able to guide us every step of the way and the onscreen video analysis highlighted every aspect of our ability – or lack of it! A competition to see who could get closest to the pin brought out the competitive spirit in everyone and the winner was Bernie Hanna – who actually hit the pin and the ball rested 0.36 yds away from it. That was fantastic accuracy Bernie and many congratulations on your win.
Our lady Captain Pauline was an excellent host. Our golf social evening was thoroughly enjoyable and a great success. Pauline, ably assisted by her daughter Emma and niece Ciara provided a luxurious spread of food and refreshments. A fantastic night was had by all and it was great to see so many new ladies attending. We are delighted to welcome them into the fold and hope they can join us out on the course very soon.
At present we are actively recruiting ladies to join us, either experienced golfers or those who are new to the game. Just contact Reception at Loughgall – 028 3889 2900. Our small club provides a friendly, relaxed atmosphere where visitors can feel at home on our ever improving and challenging parkland course. Our club Professional Vivian Teague brings fun into golf and is available for lessons on the course or indoors on the golf simulator. He can be contacted via Reception or on 07775700355. Members can choose to pay the annual subscription up front or by monthly Direct Debit. Discounted green fees and other concessions are available at reception.
Our main competition day is Saturday and this enviable position is one we are proud of and pleased to uphold. In fact ladies have no playing restrictions and tee slots are easily secured with the online booking system or by contacting reception.
Our Lady Captain Pauline Mc Ardle and Vice-Captain Cathy Owens would be very pleased to hear from anyone wishing to join our Ladies section. Irrespective of ability, a warm welcome awaits new members and visitors to the club.
