Following the announcement earlier today from the First & Deputy First Minister of the changes to the Northern Ireland Executive’s Coronavirus Recovery Plan for the Safe Return of Society & Business, the GUI and ILGU have confirmed that the Golf protocol will move to Step 2 from June 8th.

All members must read and abide by the protocol before they head down to Loughgall
Armagh Banbridge and Craigavon District Council have decided to operate 2 Balls only at 12 min intervals from Saturday 23rd May 2020 to Friday 29th May 2020 – Casual golf only no competition
From Saturday 30th May 3 balls will be allowed at 14 min intervals – this should enable us to provide a tee time for most of our members who wish to play 18 holes next Saturday from 7.12 to 1 o’clock – preference will be given to those members who were only able to play 9 holes on the 23rd – Casual golf only no competition
Tee Times for members will be posted online and on social media shortly – anyone who is not able to play or if anyone is not on the timesheet and wishes to play should contact Stephen ASAP
If any members is able to book a tee time on BRS for Saturday can they let Stephen know ASAP so he can remove them from our tee time
When members book on BRS they must still abide by the GUI Protocol
- Golf as a sport is open for club members
The GUI & ILGU recognise the significant impact that the current Coronavirus / COVID-19 crisis is having on golf clubs across Ireland.
While areas within golf clubhouses may not be available due to the need for social distancing, the sport remains open and accessible.
Club membership has never been more important.
Golf club members can still play and enjoy their golf while acting within the guidelines issued by the Public Health Agency in Northern Ireland.
Members should be aware that these restrictions are not going to last forever, but must live within them and be patient while they are in place. We all want to get back to normal as soon as possible, but this will be a gradual process and will be reliant on golf clubs and golfers observing this Protocol.
- Bring your own hand sanitiser to the course & use regularly during the round
