The Captain Colin Jeffers (CJ) has announced that his Captains Day will be held on 29th August 2020
To win the Captains Prize players must have played in a minimum of 4 Club competitions this year (not the usual 6)
with presentation and meal in Loughgall Football Club afterwards at 7.30 for 8pm (subject to numbers at the time)
Due to the ongoing Covid-19 restrictions
“In these unprecedented I find myself as Captain of Loughgall Golf Club , a great honor to serve the Club but unfortunately a number of our inter-club competitions and the Captains Drive were cancelled due to the crisis and also due to the closure of the Golf Course in March, April and May I have been unable to introduce myself to our members, in particular the new members. With the announcement that we will be able to take part in 3 interclub competitions, the Ulster Cup, Jimmy Bruen and Pierce Purcell I will be able to lend my support to the teams representing our Club. I welcome all our members back to Golf in Loughgall in particular our new members and it is great to see so many playing in the Saturday competitions and supporting the Club I hope you have an enjoyable and safe rest of season with the Club.
My Charity for 2020 is a local one – Portadown Panthers – a non contact Tag Rugby charity for males and females aged 6+ with Learning Disabilities who train and play at Portadown Rugby Club – I have chosen the 6th Hole Water Hazard as the Charity Hole – anyone who enters the water is asked to donate at least 1 pound to the charity – money can be left in the box at the Starter Hut or due to the current situation donate to the club by paypal and mark your donation “CHARITY” (to cut down on paypal fees save up your donation and make the one payment on PayPal if possible)
Above all enjoy your golf and stay safe – I hope to meet you all over the next few weeks”
