The Weekly Challenge is now back in progress after Davy McRoberts cleaned up in the Armagh Potato Company winter league, although he was pushed all the way. Very well done Davy you are a work in progress… there is a single figure handicap player about to emerge, mark my words! As for the Weekly Challenge… Stephen Mullen produced a winning round of 45 points, 3 points clear of Malachy Cullen in 2nd place and 4 clear of Willie Turner in 3rd place, well done fellas!
On Saturday the competition was a non-qualifying Stableford format and some excellent scores were produced, Alan Mills turned in a scorecard with 49 points recorded and signed for, 2nd was John Allen with 45 points…. Im sure he must have thought 45 points was good for a win and why wouldn’t you? John pushed Kevin McCoy into 3rd place on a countback….45 points and only 3rd? Great scoring! We are not finished yet, the best gross was that of Jonny McNabb who shot a 4 under the course round, I know its off the green markers Jonny but a superb round of golf all the same…. well done all of the above, excellent golf!
Just a reminder we have Prize Night on December 5th, 8pm at Hoggs Bar! Anyone who has a prize to collect should make the effort to be there, it would be rude not to. In addition to the regular prize night we are erecting a golf simulator and putting surfaces so no excuses there will be lots going on! We are offering the opportunity to try out indoor golf before we run a competition in the new year. Checkout the club notice board for more information and put your name down on the sheet provided if you are interested in taking part.
