Information provided in the previous report may have given the impression that our Junior Cowdy were heavily defeated by Lisburn at Lisburn and out of the competition.  However our Junior Cowdy team are a tough and resilient bunch… and hey presto they are back in it, yes to keep things fair and in line with Junior Cowdy format we have to play them here at Loughgall in the 2nd leg.  So really its half time and the team are having their oranges and getting an inspirational talk by their captain….watch this space?

The results for the Sunday Sweep held on the 1st June are in and counted…. it looks like Barry Rayner has done it again!  The narrowest of victories over that fine golfer Alan Magill who took runner-up position on a countback.  First hand information has it that Alan and Barry were playing together and a 25ft putt for a birdie on the 18th by Barry sunk the ship that Alan was sailing to victory on.  Very unlucky for Alan who had played a good steady game and probably deserved a win!  Thats back to back wins in the Sunday Sweep for Barry…. whats the chances of a hat-trick?  There should be a bigger turnout this Sunday as some of the regulars will be back from inter-club competition commitments, it may prove to be more difficult to win with more players entering, so no pressure Barry….but we are all watching…lol.

Good luck and enjoy your golf!
