Saturday at loughgall was a story of rain and a little less rain depending on when you played your round of golf, oh yes and wind!  It has to be the worse combination of weather conditions,  either one can prove testing but put them together and it can turn any round into a misery, as far from enjoyment as it gets.  However there were some golfers who actually excelled in these conditions, I know there were glimpses of sunshine in the afternoon but most of the good scores were players from midmorning tee times…?  Barry Wallace shot a tremendous score of 48 points to win the competition.  In 2nd place and showing real signs of getting back to playing the golf we all know he can play was Jason Wilson, his 45 points was  quite impressive in the prevailing weather conditions and the fact he has been playing in the winter suggests he must be enjoying his golf again?  Third and fourth places went to Keith Campbell and Dessie Hughes with scores of 42 and 41 respectively.  There were only three 2s recorded and they were by Barry Wallace, Jason Wilson and Dessie Hughes, well done fellas!

Check the website or the notice board at the club for upcoming competitions and events of interest, info about our AGM and application/nominations to take a position on the club council are also on the notice board.

Good luck and enjoy your golf!
