Sunshine requested & received for Loughgall Lady Captains Day 2013
Anyone who plays golf can tell you that the weather doesn’t always cooperate, but last Saturday Fiona Martin requested a perfect day of glorious sunshine for her Lady Captains day and she was not disappointed. Her chosen charity was Breast Cancer Care and a fantastic day was had by all in such great golfing conditions. A warm welcome was extended to all her visitors and members alike as we enjoyed some pre golf beverages and tasty treats. Fiona then sent everyone off to the 1st tee laden with drinks, chocolate bars and a goody bag. We were welcomed again at the halfway house on the 9th and provided with further refreshments and nibbles. The 15th hole had the Closest to the Pin challenge and the 18th was chosen for the Longest Drive.
The golf course was perfectly manicured thanks to the hard working rangers and the challenging pin positions didn’t go un-noticed!!
A thoroughly enjoyable day of golf was followed by an excellent Evening Buffet Meal at The Famous Grouse and Fiona did everyone proud by providing a beautiful selection of prizes. All in all a fabulous day was had by all.
