Excellent weather conditions for golf and a second win in two weeks for Stephen O’Connor, thats back to back competition wins! Stephen scored 42 points narrowly beating Alan Ball into 2nd place who also shot 42 points, that means Alan is down 2 shots from 22 to a 20 h,cap and Stephen has a new handicap of 13, but when you are in the zone the handicap does not seem to matter too much. No pressure Stephen but as far as I know…. no one has won three in a row, but if you are still in that zone this coming Saturday its all possible! In 3rd place was Willie Crozier with 39 points and 4th was Jack Taynor also on 39 points and now playing off 20 h,cap.
The best Gross was shot by Wayne Crawford, which if I am not mistaken is your first gross prize of the year! Section winners are Eugene Scullion 0-12, Edwin Atkinson 13-18, Neil Orr 19-28, front nine goes to Nigel Magowan (he won the back 9 last week) and the back nine was won by Sam Duffy.
There were a number of two`s recorded, 10 actually and they went to Adam Galbraith, Kevin Keegan, Wayne Crawford, Seamus Golding, Ian Magill, Adrian Simpson, Norman Stewart, Stephen Thompson and then we get to Raymond Henry who had a brace of two`s.
Very well done to those in the prizes and better luck to the rest of us in the next competition, which is sponsored by PC.COM and will be a strokeplay event.
Just a reminder that the following week 22nd September will be Presidents Day, if you wish to play in that event you must put your name on the sheet on the notice board around by the back office, it wont be there much longer so get down there and add your name to the list, dont miss out on your golf and the Presidents Day experience.
Good luck and…. Enjoy your golf!
