The words Loughgall and good weather can actually be used in the same sentence when speaking about our Saturday competition, yes the MJM Design stableford event went off very well…. maybe summer has arrived?
The top three scores were all 41 points, Kenny Kerr, Alan McCartney and Clive Currie could only be seperated on the countback, so well done Kenny Kerr winner of the MJM Design competition! Unlucky for Alan and Clive who took 2nd & 3rd respectively, I don`t think it will be the last we will hear of these fellas in competition this year.
Fourth place went to our Captain James O`Hagan with an excellent score of 40 points, he must be feeling relaxed now that captains day has passed successfully, so watch out for James in the next few competitions now he can focus on his golf.
The best Gross score went to Adam Kerr, who is never far away from the gross most weeks. Best juvenile score goes to Harry Proctor on 36 points!
Section winners were John Currie 0-12, Davy McRoberts 13-18, William Stewart 19-28, the front 9 goes to Simon Wallace and the back 9 was won by Jackson Ruddoch.
There were only 6 two`s recorded and they were by Tom Acheson (2), Walter Beattie, Nigel McCorry, John Allen and Willie Turner.
Very well done to all the prize winners and better fortune next week for the rest of us.
