A very popular competition with some excellent scores produced, once again two players with the same score on the day had to be seperated by a countback. Sam Jenkins and George Lockhart both had 44 points, Sam shot a level par round of golf but despite that it was George who clinched a well deserved victory. Well done to both players! It was not surprising that Sams gross score of 72 was good enough to take the best gross! Once again Jason Wilson is in the prizes with a points score of 41, what a great season Jason is having his 41 points gives him 2nd place. Third place goes to Richard Abbott with his round of 40 points!
Section winners were Davy McRoberts 0-12, Jack Traynor 13-18, Steve Wall 19+, Front nine Jonathon Faulkner, back nine Willie Fenton and Barry Rayner takes the best senior score prize.
The weekly Challenge was won by David Kelly with 43 points two clear of second place Pat Keegan, both good scores playing off 12 & 13 respectively, well done fellas!
Davy McRoberts is doing a great job of organising the Loughgall Juniors, the weather was not as nice as the previous week but there was still an encouraging turnout, checkout Loughgall Golf Club/Juniors on facebook too. Vivian Teague gives professional individual tuition before a friendly but competitive 4 hole competition between the juniors finishes off the afternoon session, these are the golf stars of the future? So its 2pm next Saturday for week three of Loughgall juniors!
A heads up for the PC.Com event which is on the 20th September, its a shotgun start, be there in good time 8am for a tee off at 8.30 sharp, plenty of opportunity to get prizes….more info to follow! Make sure your regular 4 ball can attend, those that dont have a 4 ball can turn up and hopefully fit in on the day!
