Kris Hunniford of The Hunniford Stingers has best score of the week with 46 points off his 12 h.cap. Andy Currie was 2nd with his round of 73 which was good enough for the best gross prize, both Kris and Andy gained a bonus point for their team (bear this in mind!). There were nine 2s recorded and they were by Jeff Armstrong, Kevin McCoy, Anthony Ball, Andrew Matthews, Davy McRoberts, Graham Buckley, Dave Chadwick and two 2s for Kris Hunniford.
It’s the end of the winter league and the results are in….. the team positions could not be closer for the top two teams. The Golding Oldies have been leading the way but both this weeks winner and the best gross were won by members of The Hunniford Stingers, the 2 extra bonus points is enough to give the Hunniford Stingers a one point win over The Golding Oldies to be the 2013 Winter League winners! Very unlucky to members of the Golding Oldies who were a brilliant team but just pipped at the last hurdle. Well done The Hunniford Stingers, a fantastic final push proved to be good enough to take 1st prize!
The individual overall winner was also also fiercely contested, the top 3 in reverse order were… Cecil Brownlee 244 points, Andrew Matthews 245 points and the winner was Seamus Golfing with 247 points! Tremendous scoring fellas but there can be only one winner…. well done Seamus! The number of 2s that were recorded have divided into the 2s money available which means each two recorded is worth £3.
Well done all those who turned out regularly for their teams and gave the competition the respect and commitment it deserves.
A reminder that it’s prize night this Friday 6th December at Hoggs Bar….7.30pm, please make the effort to attend, especially if you think you have won a prize during the course of the year.
Good luck and enjoy your golf!
