Harvey Loughgall Cream…. yes i know you are normally getting ready for the Harvey Bristol Cream this time of the year? However its Havey K Park who is sitting at the top of the leader board with his victory in the club stableford on Saturday with a winning score of 41 points. Harvey’s nearest challenger was our very own club captain Graham Buckley with 39 points! Only 1 two recorded and that was by Derick Hynes…. affectionately known as uncle festa!
Prize night went ahead as planned on Friday evening it was a good night and very enjoyable, a couple of winners to be mentioned were player of the year… Kenny Kerr and senior player of the year Adrian Simpson… obviously there were plenty more worthy of mention, but just too many for this report to cover and if you were there you will recall for yourself. Now I must ask the question which leaves me wondering what has to be done to get people to turn up to collect their prizes? There really should have been double the amount of people attending prize night, it is somewhat disappointing to see the lack of support from our members on these occasions. Loughgall Golf Club is made up and belongs to the members who play golf at our course, so why do you not bother to give the club your support…. where is the community spirit, how can things improve and get better for all of us if it’s only left to the few. It’s your club, a little more effort from all of us will make so much more of a difference, please be bothered… it really is quite painless and you may even enjoy yourselves?
