I would like to welcome you all here tonight for our 2013 AGM of Loughgall golf Club.
Without singling out individuals I am forever grateful to my council members, club members, and staff of Loughgall Country Park which made my rein as Captain such a memorable and rewarding experience.
Captain’s day was another successful event in the club history and without your support this could never be possible.
Highlights of my year were:
With the assistance of A&D & Loughgall Country Park Staff members we continued to develop and enhance our golf course.
Erection of officer signs.
Establishment of our website
On- going projects: Development of 1st tee box area.
Extension to tea room area.
Designated area for Trophy display and Loughgall Golf Club Information area
I big thank you to all who actually landed that ball in the water at the 6th, it benefited my chosen charity, Armagh City & District Multiple Sclerosis a tidy sum of £976.02 which was greatly appreciated.
Lowlights.
My aim as Captain was to promote Loughgall Golf Club locally and nationally but while I hope I have created good relationships with Armagh & District Council through the many meetings I have held with them – I would have hoped for more support from the local media which would highlight the benefits of this beautiful park and golf course
Team events were not as successful as previous years but don’t let that dampen the enthusiasm for 2013. I have every confidence that Loughgall Golf teams will collect awards in the coming years.
Without further ado I would to propose Graham Buckley as our new Captain for 2013.
