The turnout was very good for Saturdays competition and so too was the
scoring, with two scores of 44 points at the top of the leaderboard
but only one winner.... Adrian Simpson beat the unfortunate Rodney
Clarke into 2nd place on the countback. Unfortunate because a score
of 44 points would usually be good enough on the day, so unlucky
 Rodney but well done Adrian!
Third place went to Kenny Kerr with 40 points and 4th went to Jackson
Ruddock on 39 points, with the course playing just about at full
length but still preferred lies those scores were very decent, well
 done fellas.

The best gross score went to Adam Kerr who seems to be making the most
of his opportunities down at the Darren Clarke School of Golf.... a
champion in the making and Loughgall Golf Club are pleased to have him
as a member.  Best Juvenile score goes to Michael Hook... well done
Michael! The Senoirs prize goes to James O Hagan
, James being a younger old fogey does have the advantage of youth on his side???

Section winners were Kenny Todd 0-12, Nicholas Salley 13-18 and Norman
 Stewart 19-28.
There were 14 two`s scored and they were by Adam Kerr,
Mark Placitt, Wayne Crawford, Jackson Ruddock, Adrian Simpson, Harry
Cloughger, Raymond Henry, William Crozier, Kenneth Kerr, Nicholas
Salley and both Stephen Wilson and Johnathan Lockhart had two 2s each.
Well done to all those in the prizes and better luck next time to to
 the rest of us!

On Friday the final of the Team Challenge took place between the
Captains Team and Lakeside and it was to be very eventful! Initially the
Captains Team were short of a player and a last minute replacement was
found, young Michael Hook stood in for Davy Coote who was unavoidably
detained. A big ask for Michael who was quite nervous at the
beginning but settled and held his own throughout his match despite
 the odds.
The match was always going to be finely balanced and that it proved,
Lakeside lost a man out of their doubles pairing at the 13th and this
seemed to swing the pendulum towards the Captains Team. To cut a long
story short it went to extra holes, John Allen and Graham Buckley
played the 1st again and Graham came out victorious, Graham done very
well against John who is formidable on his day. Well done the
Captains Team, deserved winners of the Team Challenge.
The numbers turning out are excellent and with the weather sure to improve
as we head into the season we are expecting even more entries in our
competitions.
Do not forget this Sunday is the 1st monthly medal, so even more
competitive golf.... Great stuff!  Enjoy your Golf!
(Yes... I realise the picture is not a Grouse
but if you were standing further away it might just looklike one?
Its not to be confused with our winner Adrian either.)
