Junior Cowdy 2025 – First Round, Second Leg Match Report
Loughgall Golf Club vs Kilkeel Golf Club, Sunday, 19th May 2025
Loughgall Golf Club secured their place in the next round of the Junior Cowdy with a 2-2 draw at home today against a resilient Kilkeel side. The result saw Loughgall advance with a 4.5 to 3.5 aggregate victory over the two legs.
Kilkeel came out strongly, taking early leads in both of the opening matches and putting Loughgall under significant pressure. However, the home side showed great character and determination to turn things around, earning the vital points needed to progress.
The tie was fiercely contested but played throughout in a fantastic spirit of sportsmanship. Loughgall Golf Club would like to thank Kilkeel for a great match and their hospitality in the first leg.
Loughgall now look ahead to welcoming Portadown Golf Club in the next round of the competition.
