The course must be playing very well because there have been some super scorecards put in the competitions this week. The Weekly Challenge was fiercely contested, Aaron Agg produced a score of 44 points and a hole-in-one at the 5th, thats some round of golf and usually 44 points is good enough to win but not this week. William Camblin pushed Aaron into second place with his score of 46 points, thats a great round of golf…. well done William also Aaron for his hole-in-one, thats money in your account mate! We shouldn’t forget Davy McRoberts who came in 3rd with 43 points but was good enough to give him the best gross score, well done Davy!
On Saturday a non qualifying Stableford Competition was held and once again we saw some superb scores recorded, Dessie Hughes who is flying high at the moment… for several weeks actually, managed to produced a score of 49 points! Willie McWilliams took 2nd place with 45 points and Eugene Scullion came in with 41 points for 3rd place. Stephen Mullens excellent 47 points took the best gross score! Superb scoring fellas… well done! I would imagine most of the players named in this weeks report have already been snapped up by one of the teams taking part in the forthcoming Team Challenge, if not there is a great opportunity for one of the team captains to acquire an inform player to strengthen their team!
