Seamus Golding proved too good for the rest of the field to take 1st place in the Lombard Trophy Qualifier (strokeplay), but only just! Steve Wall had the same nett score of 67 but the countback placed Seamus ahead of Steve, great scores by both players! Adrian Faulkner came 3rd with a nett 68! No surprise to see Jonathan Hewitt taking the best gross, just 75 shots!
Section winners; 0-12 Jackson Ruddock, 13-18 Andy Matthews, 19+ Kenny Mitchell, front nine prize goes to Keith Campbell and the back nine was won by Johnny McNabb. Harry Clougher wins the senior section. Well done all the prize winners!
The Weekly Challenge was won by Johnathan Lockhart with 45 points. An excellent score which was 3 points better than 2nd place Aaron Agg on 42 points, well done fellas!
The 9 hole Wednesday Sweep sponsored by Nutmeg Treasures was won by Denis Glass with a very good score of 25 points, 2nd with 21 points was Ian Gordon.
There were no inter-club competitions this week but next week we should see more action.
Remember to check the club notice board for upto date info plus make sure any club singles or doubles competitions are arranged as early as possible and played within the time limit stated on the competition sheet.
