A nett 62 put James Cunningham six shots ahead of the next best man in the competition, that shows you what a day of golf James had on Saturday. In 2nd place was Willie Young with a nett 68 and a very good score it was too! Third place was Malachy McHugh with a very decent nett 70. Adam Kerr got the prize for best Gross score, a nett 69!
The sections were won by David McCrory 0-12, Alan McCartney 13-18, Harvey Park 19+, the front 9 went to Wayne Hamilton and the back 9 goes to Richard(Russ)Abbott.
There were 16 twos and they were had by Kevin McCoy, Jonny McKnight x2, John Allen, Richard Abbott, Paul hughes, Kris Hunniford, Adam Kerr, Malachy McHugh, Robert Treanor, Spencer Lawson, Alan Magill, Jonathan McNabb, Mark Placitt, Walter Beattie and Michael Ballintine. Well done to all those in the prizes and better fortune next time for the rest of us.
Loughgall played Carrickfergus at the weekend in the Holt Shield and produced a 3-2 win, Derick Hynes, Sam Jenkins and Wayne Crawford were all winners on the day. Well done fellas!
Loughgalls Rossmore team also played on Sunday against Silverwood, the previous week we took 2 points a piece. A confident Loughgall side who had several replacements from the away match proved good enough at home with 2 and a half points to Silverwoods 1 and a half, which means we go through to the next round! Well played fellas, but also well played Silverwood who were gracious in defeat.
Another wee reminder, if you do not use your allocated tee time on a regular basis you will lose your time slot to someone who will use it, so please keep this in mind as we do have people looking a time slot…. its not to be wasted!
