The second competition of 2013 and already we are being dominated by one individual… Willie McWilliams once again takes 1st place scoring 45 points off his 18 h.cap, can Willie make it three in a row…? In 2nd place was past captain Davy Coote just one point behind with 44 points off a 21 h.cap, unlucky Davy but you are up against a man in form and relishing the shortened course.
The Gross prize goes to our very own handicap convener who has been showing glimpses of past promise of late and I predict he will do substantially better this year off his new handicap of 8. His points score of 43 means he went around the course one over par.
There were only three 2s this week and they were by Willie McWilliams, Brian Teague and last but not least Stephen Crowe. That should be a reasonable payout this week, well done fellas and a very well done to all the prize winners.
So all eyes are on Willie this week, can he win again and create a bit of local golf history, as far as I know no one has won three in a row at Loughgall… I would like to hear from anyone that knows different. I have been here from day one of Loughgall Golf Club and I dont remember three competitions in a row won by the same player?

Within the next week, singles, doubles and scratch competition entry sheets will be posted on the notice board. All those interested in playing will need to get their names on the sheet and money paid in good time for the coming season. Further information regarding these competitions will be on the sheet when posted.
