Well two weeks of the winter league has been played and some serious points have been scored by some players.  Week 1 saw Seamus Golding heading the leader board with a points tally of 47, the best gross score for the week was that of Jonny McNabb.

Week 2 saw another 47 points scored by Jack Traynor, the best gross score was from Jamie Wortley who also came second.

The method of scoring for the teams are as follows… 1st 10pts, 2nd 8pts, 3rd 6pts, 4th 5pts, 5th 4pts, 6th 3pts, 7th 2pts, 8th 1point.

Team scores after 2 weeks: Elite… 16pts, Rippers… 16pts, Birdies… 15pts, Relics… 11pts, Bandits… 7pts, Duffers… 5pts, Tuners… 4pts, Devils…4pts.

Remember, the best 4 scores in each team are added together and the highest team score takes 10 points and the team with the second highest score will take 8 points and so on and so forth as explained in the paragraph above.  In addition to that, each week there will be prizes for the best score and best gross.  Two`s are counted in the winter league and will be paid out at the end of the winter league.

So those of you who are in the winter league and have not been playing each week, please make the effort otherwise it will be your team mates who you will be letting down.  If you are injured or sick that is a different matter but please do your best to play.

Good luck and enjoy your golf!
