Despite the weather conditions of the past week the course has held up very well, a few branches less and some surface water in places but all in all we have been quite fortunate to still play our competition. Its January so we have to expect some adverse weather conditions in addition to this the course has been shortened as usual for the time of year.
Once again we had two players with the winning score, Aaron Agg and Wayne Crawford both had 45 points each, so it was down to the best score on the back nine holes. Aarons 23 points on the last nine put Aaron in 1st place and unfortunately Wayne had to settle for the runner-up position, unlucky Wayne but congrats to Aaron!
Dessie Hughes came 3rd with 44 points, Jeff Armstrong 4th on 43 points, Sean McCann was 5th with 41 points and Eugene Scullion with 40 came in 6th.
There were seven 2s recorded and they were by Aaron Agg, Jeff Armstrong, Dessie Hughes, Neil Orr, Derick Hynes and an excellent of brace of 2s for Sean McCann.
Remember to get your name on the team lists if you are interested in playing for and representing loughgall against other clubs. Check out the club notice board and make sure you read the player criteria on each of the sheets before putting your name on a list. Good luck and enjoy your golf!
