Eclectic Competition Overview - Starting Feb 2nd 2009
20/01/2009
In previous years players in the eclectic competition often found the last week of the competition very hard to score points at, as most of the points were accumulated in the first five weeks so to make things more interesting this year the eclectic competition will be played as follows.
Once a player has completed 18 holes he shall select only three scores from his card and put a circle around the three scores he has chosen, then enter those three scores only into the computer. In Each of the first five weeks he must select a different three holes to enter in the computer.
By the time week six comes around players will only have 3 holes left to score at. {Not a time to ding one!}
So in week 6 to make things a little bit more interesting for everyone you may enter all 18 holes into the computer and if you better a score from a previous week, it will go towards your final score card.
Competition will be played with 3/4 handicap
If you miss a week you must enter 6 scores the following week.
No 2s payout.
Prizes will be paid in club vouchers 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th. Plus best gross and 1st and 2nd for juniors.
Cards may be marked Monday-Sunday weeks 1-5, week 6 to be played Saturday morning with tee time given to all players. {Mixed draw}
Entry fee £30 adults and £15 juniors. Pay at reception
Competition starts on the 2nd Feb 2009
