Loughgall Eclectic Competition - Week 6 Report (Final)

The final week of the 6 week Eclectic competition resulted in a thrilling finish. The winner with 47pts was John Currie, who just pipped Alan Pedlow and Seamus Golding who were both on 46pts.
The clincher for John came at the par 3 5th hole at which he had a hole in 1!
Alan Pedlow finished 2nd with 46 pts, beating Seamus Golding into third due to a slightly better back 9 over the 6 weeks. Dennis Lavery was 4th with 45 pts, just pushing Alan McCartney into 5th who had also 45 pts, but lost out to Dennis's back 9.
The gross prize went to Kenny Kerr who scored a best score of 66 over the 6 weeks.
The Juvenile winner was Jonathan Hewitt with a score of 44 pts for his 6 week best total.
As well as Jon Currie's hole in 1, there were also 5 "2"'s at the weekend. Andrew Dunwoody got his "2" at the 5th hole. Stephen Mullen and Alan Pedlow got their "2" at the 11th hole. Dennis Lavery and Stephen Crowe got their "2" at the 15th hole.
Next week (29/3/08) is the beginning of the official golfing competitions and the first event will be the " Captain's Drive " and will be a stableford event.
Members are reminded that they must have paid their annual subscriptions before taking part and these can be paid on the day at the starters hut.
Time sheets will also come into operation this Saturday for the seasons first competition.
