Loughgall Eclectic Competition - Week 3 Report

Week 3 of the Eclectic competition again saw some excellent scoring. Best card of the weekend came from Alan Pedlow, normally off 11, but off 3 in the eclectic, Alan covered the course in level par 72. He had birdies at the 2nd, 4th, 9th and 10th holes.
The next best card of the week came from Joel Kennedy who played the course in 78 shots off his eclectic handicap of 3. Joel birdied the 14th and 18th holes.
Young Jonathan Hewitt also had a good score covering his 18 holes in 79 shots. Jonathan had birdies at the 4th and 11th holes.
Seven golfers managed a "2" at the weekend, with Eddie Millar and Jonathan Hewitt getting their "2" at the 11th hole. Daniel Huey, Brian Nixon and Albert Mulligan all got a "2" at the 13th hole. Jeffrey Armstrong got his "2" at the par 4 14th hole. Clive Currie was the other player to get one, his came at the 15th hole.
So after 3 weeks play, three players are tied on a gross score of 69, Alan Pedlow, Jonny McNabb and Kenny Kerr. Joel Kennedy is on 70. Three players, Dennis Lavery, Harry Clougher and Karl Judt are on 71.
With three weeks still remaining there is plenty of time for everyone to improve their scores.
