Loughgall Eclectic Competition - Week 1 Report

Week 1 of the Loughgall Eclectic 6 week competition took place during last week. With all players playing off a ¼ of their handicap the scores were well reduced. However it did not affect Dennis Lavery who returned a score of 35 pts off his eclectic handicap of 3. Dennis covered the course in 76 shots with birdies at holes 4 and 18. Two players returned a score of 34 pts, Karl Judt and Kenny Kerr. Both of them were playing off 2. Karl also covered the course in 76 shots, his only birdie came at the 6th hole. Kenny, also off 2 returned a good score despite “ dinging “ the first hole. Kenny scored three birdies at the 8th and 10th holes.
All entrants are still in the hunt as there are still 5 weeks to go and any bad holes can be improved upon over that time period.
Four players managed to score a “ 2 “, with club Captain John Allen scoring three of them at the 11th, 13th and 15th holes. Joel Kennedy got a “ 2 “ at the 5th hole. Darren McAllister got his at the 11th hole and Neil Walker got his “2” at the 15th hole.
