Loughgall Ladies in All Ireland Final
The National final of Australian Spoons took place in Craddockstown, Naas County Kildare on Monday 25th August 2014. Lorraine Abbott and Margaret Collins represented Loughgall after winning the Ulster qualifying competition in Ballyclare in June. This is the second time these ladies have reached the final of this prestigious competition. They previously qualified in 2012 when they competed in Roscrea County Tipperary. Craddockstown is a challenging golf course and has been described “as a hidden gem with its tree lined fairways and testing water features.” This may well be a challenging golf course but these ladies were well equipped to take it on. They finished a highly commendable 8th place with 32 points despite the challenging course and despite the even more challenging weather conditions! Well done Lorraine & Margaret. You made the ladies branch very proud.
